• Get your vest, boots, hard hat, and glasses ready, and print out the schedule. Be the scheduler out in the field ensuring the plan aligns with the execution. Sitting at your desk is not the best way to learn.

• Keep an eye out for suboptimization. There is no need to constantly improve everything. The pursuit of improvement for the sake of improvement is at best a waste of time and at worst a step backwards.
